What Cincinnati Area Families can Expect to Pay For Wildlife Removal
There are four parts to a successful Wildlife Removal Program
When you have wildlife move into your home, there is a four part process that can SOLVE the problem for you long term. You can choose to omit one of those steps in favor of affordbility, but you sacrifice the long term results you desire.
1.) Animal Removal
The removal of wildlife is the fist of the four steps. Either through trapping, one way doors, eviction techniques, or hazing and deterrent programs, removing the offending animal is priced in many different ways depending on the operator. Our company is a flat rate provider, which means for our trapping and removal fees, you pay one flat rate. No per animal fees. No trip fees. No trap checking fees. Whether we catch 3 squirrels or 13 squirrels we do not charge you any extra. The only variation for that is canine and beaver trapping. Pricing for trapping can range depending on access (heights/rooftop, etc.) and how the traps are being monitored (daily reporting by owner/resident, camera monitoring, or trap sensors). Generally our trapping charges are right in line with our competitors once you factor in our flat rate versus their micro transaction pricing programs.
2.) Clean Up
Depending on the species of animal that caused the damage and mess inside of on the home, the cost for clean up (or as we call it in the industry “remediation”) can fluctuate. Cleaning bird waste off of siding or from inside a bathroom vent is often based off of height and risk and often only runs a couple hundred dollars. More extensive work like cleaning bat waste or raccoon latrine sites out of attics can cost upwards of $3,000 or more depending on the size of the attic space needing treatment.
3.) Repairs
The damage created by wildlife entering your home can be as simple as replacing a vent cover for your bathroom fan exhaust, or extensive work when raccoons damage shingles, sheeting, gutters, and soffits gaining access to your home. This step is often where there is a vast difference in Huntsman Wildlife’s price versus our peers in the area. After 20+ years in this industry, I do not know what short cuts other companies in our area take to get their prices lower than ours, but I am also not actively seeking to find out. We won’t use the short cuts other operators use to be cheaper. It’s not fair to your family.
4.) Prevention
The last step is the prevention work to ensure you are not calling us in 8-12 months because another wildlife issue sprung up. This can include habitat modification like geo-mesh barriers to prevent access for skunks, woodchucks, or foxes under your deck or porch, guards on your rooftop venting to keep bats, birds, and squirrels out of your attic, and securing utility entrances and foundations so rodents and reptiles can not gain access to your home. Generally, depending on the level of security the client wants before we leave, the price for whole home wildlife proofing comes in right around 1% of the market value of the home. Now, depending on the level of protection the home needs, that price can go up or down. But our company honors a 5 year warranty on ALL of the repair and prevention work we do and we stand by it because we use quality materials designed and manufactured to last, and as I stated earlier, we won’t use the short cuts or inferior materials other operators use to be cheaper.
So What Will It Cost Your family?
In the end, our clients are ultimately the determining factor on the cost of our programs. If you want to just trap out the animal and put a temporary patch up, it is going to be considerably cheaper than going through all four steps of our program. Whichever you choose, Huntsman Wildlife will never use scare tactics, high pressure closing techniques, or sell you something you do not need.
The Huntsman Wildlife team is there for you and your family when you need us, you just need to reach out and schedule a site survey.
