A ZERO WASTE APPROACH TO WILDLIFE CONTROL

It All Started when…

A close friend of ours that runs one of the nation’s oldest reptile stores asked us when we started Huntsman Wildlife what our plan was with the animals after we euthanized them. They told us there was an active and vibrant market for the bones, skulls, and furs from the animals we capture every year.

An entire online community of artists, educators, makers, collectors, and enthusiasts have a need for responsibly and ethically source anatomical parts of native wildlife. We felt we could fill part of that need.

We had always felt a twinge of pain that the animals we remove from people’s properties that can not be released due to Ohio laws or due to illness or injury were just ending up being discarded and wasted.

After two years of researching the laws and regulations, learning how to process and preserve the bones, skulls, furs, tails, and paws, and creating an online marketplace to sell our wares, “The Boneyard by Huntsman Wildlife” was birthed into this world on October 1st, 2022 just in time for the Halloween season.

Feel free to click on the video link below to watch how we “harvest” the anatomical parts from the animals, how we process them for the market, and how those animal parts end up in the hands of our customers.
